Abbey Consort is venturing to France for our next programme: we are singing works by no less than seven French composers, including the wonderful Fauré Requiem but also some lesser known pieces by Villette, Rameau and Duruflé. French is a lovely, if challenging language to sing in and several of our pieces are a cappella. The mood is serene and contemplative, we hope. We are delighted to be joined for the Fauré by an orchestra as originally scored by the composer and by Chris Achenbach playing organ. We do hope you can join us. Tickets are available in advance as listed on the image below, but also on the door on the nights, 11th November in St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Kelso and 12th November in Holy Trinity Episcopal church in Melrose. Both concerts begin at 7.30pm.
